Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh CM Nitish Kumar bans Padmavati in Bihar

Controversies surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ are far from getting over. After the film got banned in two states of Indian, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar banned the film in Bihar too.

The CM reportedly issued a statement stating that the film will not be released in Bihar until the concerned parties issue an adequate clarification.

According to reports, protests were being staged outside Bihar legislative assembly, with several politicians of the BJP protesting against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial film.

Glitches continue to hamper the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati even as the makers maintain that the costume drama will release in November as per schedule. Buzz from the set in Film City suggests that leading lady Deepika Padukone had to cancel shoot yesterday due to a back injury.

'Padmavati' film set vandalised, crew given police protection

In the second such incident since January, the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Padmavati' was vandalised last midnight, following which the film crew was provided police protection.

Around 20 unidentified people torched the costumes and the animal feed kept there for the horses featuring in the period drama, the police said.

Maharashtra's Minister of State for Home Deepak Kesarkar said the team shooting here has been provided police protection.
