John Kerry,Ending Iran nuclear deal

U.S. President Donald Trump risks driving Iran toward nuclear proliferation and worsening a standoff with North Korea if Washington ends a nuclear deal with Iran, former Secretary of State John Kerry said on Thursday.

Kerry, who negotiated the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, was speaking a week after Trump refused to certify that Tehran was in compliance, amid growing tensions with Pyongyang over its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

US Worked To Ensure Fair Paris Mideast Statement: John Kerry

Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday that the United States had negotiated at the Paris Middle East peace conference to prevent Israel being treated unfairly.

Kerry thanked France for hosting the international conference and welcomed its final statement in favour of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

But he said the positive conclusion was arrived at only after US diplomats insisted on strong language condemning Palestinian incitement and attacks on Israelis.

Tension, High Hopes Ahead of Paris Middle East Summit

John Kerry,

In one of his last missions as U.S. secretary of state, John Kerry will join world leaders from 70 other countries at a January 15 conference in Paris, attempting to salvage a two-state solution that many analysts believe is beyond saving. Neither Israel nor the Palestinians will attend, but there are reports the Palestinians may present a new peace plan on the sidelines.

In a similar conference in Paris last June, officials divided into working groups to explore ways to lure the parties back to peace talks. They will present their findings at next week’s meeting.

John Kerry Says He, Barack Obama Warned Russia Over Hacking

US Secretary of State John Kerry said on Thursday that both he and President Barack Obama personally complained to Russian leaders about efforts to interfere with the American election.

Asked why the White House had not accused the Kremlin of hacking US political targets before the November vote, Kerry said it had not wanted to be accused of influencing the result.

Obama said last month he had confronted President Vladimir Putin over the hacking allegations when they met ahead of the US election, telling him to "cut it out" and promising a firm response.

2 States Only Way To Secure Israeli-Palestinian Peace: John Kerry

US Secretary of State John Kerry insisted Wednesday the only way to secure a lasting peace between Israel and Palestinians is to negotiate a two-state solution to their conflict.

Explaining the US decision last week not to veto a UN Security Council vote to condemn Israeli settlement building, Kerry said: "The vote in the UN was about preserving the two-state solution.

"That's what we were standing up for: Israel's future as a Jewish and democratic state, living side by side in peace and security with its neighbors," he said.
